The script worked great, but for some reason it messed up my sessions. Magento kept redirecting to the folder of the ajaxAddToCart files. Fixed the issue by renaming a value in app/etc/local.xml, not sure what happened though. any ideas? (more fix info here: http://www.yireo.com/tutorials/magento/magento-administration/280-unable-to-login-into-the-magento-backend)

Thanks for the great review!

I'm glad you found it useful. And you summed everything up very nicely.

As for the library, I tried to jump start it with a few regular expressions of my own. But of course I'm hoping to encourage more people besides myself to contribute. So I want to make contributing to the public library more appealing and I have a few ideas on that front. A voting interface for the library will also soon be making its way into the tool.

Thanks again,
Steve Wortham

You have to do this to get the attribute at a later time.

$products= Mage::getModel('catalog/product')->getCollection()
            ->addAttributeToSelect('ingredients')
        ;
$product = $products->getItemById($id);
$ingredients = $product->getIngredients();

I guess it still interprets things in pre tags :)

that should be an XML element called "log_verbs" in your DB config.

Unfortunately I also forgot that I modified this piece of code, which puts the log_verbs config into logConfig:

        if (null === $logConfig) {
            // first time function is executed
            // query logger needs to be configured
            if (array_key_exists("log", $this->_config)) {
                $logConfig['enabled'] = (bool) $this->_config['log'];
            }
            if (array_key_exists('log_file', $this->_config)) {
                $logConfig['file_name'] = $this->_config['log_file'];
            }
            if (array_key_exists('log_verbs', $this->_config)) {
                $logConfig['log_verbs'] = $this->_config['log_verbs'];
            } else {
                $logConfig['log_verbs'] = "SELECT,UPDATE,INSERT,DELETE";
            }
        }

Thanks, this pointed me in the right direction and provided me with usable code.

I also added a bit to filter out certain SQL verbs. It's not very efficient, but running in debug mode seldom is :)

* Add to local.xml. Comma-separated list of SQL verbs to log:

SELECT,INSERT

* Above the "//build the log message" in the above code:

        /* Filter SQL verbs */
        if ( strlen( $logConfig['log_verbs'] ) ) {
            $arr = explode( ",", $logConfig['log_verbs'] );

            $words = explode(' ', $sql);
            $verb = $words[0];

            if ( !in_array( $verb, $arr ) ) {
                return $this;
            }
        }

* Add this

Is this limited to any particular produce type(s)? I need a solution that will work for simple, configurable and bundled items, and this is definitely the most elegant method I've come across so far.
